Schmidt Joins ACSG, Inc.

Thomas (Tom) W. Schmidt, A.A.E., has joined ACSG as a Senior Consultant. Schmidt retired as Executive Director of the Capital Regional Airport Authority in Lansing, Michigan last July after over 30 years in airport management. He will assist the ACSG Team with ongoing program management projects throughout the United States.
From 1970 to 1983, Schmidt held the position of Director of Aviation at Burlington International Airport. During this period, he supervised three land acquisition programs, FAR Part 150 studies, a master plan update, and a major terminal renovation program. In 1983, Schmidt accepted the position of Assistant Director of Aviation at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. In this capacity, he provided operations over site at this large hub facility and was involved in supervision of the McCarran 2000 terminal project.

From 1989 until his retirement last year, Schmidt supervised in excess of two dozen AIP projects at Capital Airport including a terminal renovation, airside projects, master plans, and a FAR Part 150 study. He was the 1998 recipient of the prestigious Distinguished Service Award from the AAAE in addition to numerous other honors during his career.

Schmidt brings an exceptional level of expertise in airport management, operations, and capital project implementation and will contribute significantly to ACSG's program management services.
